SpecLab is part of the scientific and technical services catalog of the CSIC

Acquisition of spectral signatures in the field and in the laboratory using portable spectro-radiometer (optical range)

Spectroradiometry

Scientific and technical advice for planning acquisition of spectral information by using field spectroradiometers. Definition of ad-hoc protocols for specific applications. Implementation of hyperspectral measurements (field and/or laboratory) by using instrumentation available in the laboratory. Post-processing spectral data: sorting and filtering of spectra, spectral libraries, metadata

Acquisition and processing of hyperspectral and thermal imagery from airborne platforms

Low-altitude remote sensing
Planning of airborne hyperspectral image acquisition campaigns (aircraft, drones). Image processing for environmental applications: land use mapping, estimation of biophysical parameters.

Analysis and processing of satellite imagery

Remote sensing
Imge pre-processing, geometric and radiometric corrections, image classification and generation of remose sensing products using empirical and physically-based models. Spatial analysis and processing of time series.

Time series acquisition of vegetation parameters in natural ecosystems and agricultural areas

Long-term monitoring
Protocol definition and acquisition of in situ vegetation biophysical variables (biomass, water content, leaf area index…) using destructive / non-destructive sampling methods and specific instrumentation available at the laboratory. Data processing and generation of derived variables.

Geolocation and ancillary graphic information using GPS and mobile devices

Advanced geospatial analysis
Field surveying by using submeter world’s first GNSS smart antenna with visual positioning providing survey-grade accuracy and 3D point clouds. In situ ancillary data collection using mobile & web applications.
